This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use data so you understand what we can see, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
This policy explains how ResellScope collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Service.
2. Data we collect
We process: account data (name, email, password hash); business data you enter (products, sales, meetings, costs); payment metadata (subscription status, Stripe customer ID); support communication; usage and security data including IP addresses, browser/device information, session data, page views, and feature usage events; AI conversation history when you use the ResellScope Agent; and shipping tracking data (tracking numbers, carrier, delivery status) processed via 17track.
3. How we use your data
We use data to provide and improve the Service, process billing, provide support, and secure our systems.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
Our legal bases include contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required.
5. How we access and view data
Authorized personnel may access data when required for support, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
6. Sharing and disclosures
We share data with the following service providers under data processing agreements: Supabase (database hosting and authentication, EU region); Stripe (payment processing, USA — Standard Contractual Clauses apply); OpenAI (AI assistant functionality, USA — Standard Contractual Clauses apply); Resend (transactional email delivery, USA — Standard Contractual Clauses apply); 17track (shipment tracking, China — Standard Contractual Clauses apply); Google Analytics (usage analytics, USA, opt-in only — Standard Contractual Clauses apply). We do not sell your personal data.
7. Data retention
Account and business data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted upon request. Payment and invoice records are retained for 10 years under German commercial and tax law (§ 147 AO). Session logs and IP address records are retained for up to 30 days. AI conversation history is retained until you delete it or close your account. If we are legally required to retain data longer, we will do so for the minimum required period.
8. Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your data. You also have the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@resellscope.de. If you are located in Germany or the EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for ResellScope is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, www.lfd.niedersachsen.de.
10. International transfers
Some service providers (Stripe, OpenAI, Resend, Google Analytics) are based in the United States. 17track is based in China. Data transfers to these countries are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, providing appropriate safeguards for your personal data.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies for authentication, preferences, analytics, and security. Essential cookies are required for key functionality.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates are communicated with reasonable notice.
